About Henri de Rivel
Conceived and designed in Europe, Henri de Rivel saddles are manufactured in Argentina. Using the finest French leather, these highly popular saddles are made to the highest standards of material selection, quality and craftsmanship. These saddles are being sold in over 15 countries since the early 1990s.
Over the years, top European saddle masters have worked closely with the factory to innovate and evolve quality standards.
Most recently, this small private saddle-making workshop in Buenos Aires has added a tree making facility. The trees are made of beech wood with steel reinforcements that provide spring, strength, balance and quality control of the highest level.
Juan Carlos "Cabo" Martiarena and Andre Merlin, the founders and owners of the factory producing these saddles say, "The finest equitation traditions have been preserved whilst using modern manufacturing techniques in making Henri de Rivel saddles. After design and testing, the first step is right material selection. We have an exclusive buying arrangement with one of the finest tanneries in France that supplies us highly supple, natural finish leathers for our manufacturing. The integration of saddletree manufacturing has given us better control over our inputs, quality and delivery and has positioned us to react very quickly to changing market trends and needs of the riders. Finally we raise the bar on our quality control continually as we believe that quality is a journey and not a destination"
